Inspired by 1947 India

1947 London has been born out of a desire to bring to London an authentic taste of India in all its glory, reminiscent of recipes that evolved out of the movement of peoples and cultures during the 1947 partition.

The restaurant is situated in a beautiful dining space with an unrivalled ambience within walking distance from London’s West End.

From statement pieces of interior design to the perfectly judged lighting, 1947 London, is glamour and excellence personified at the same time providing a rare and easy elegance.

Dishes To Share

Chef Krishna Negi, protege of Michelin-starred Vineet Bhatia, has created a menu which nods to recipes that evolved out of the movement of peoples and cultures during the 1947 partition.

Chef Negi first made his name when he launched Tangawizi in Richmond in 2004. Recognised at the time as ground-breaking for its innovative menus it became a regular haunt for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

The menu features Nano Plates, Small Plates and Sharing Bowls as well as Briyanis & Rice, Breads and Desserts.
